From 1 July 2016, the fees for the Family Court of Western Australia will increase. Unless you are able to show financial hardship, you must pay these fees to the Court.
It is important to know that not all these fees may apply to you!
Your lawyer will explain which fees will apply and how and when they should be paid.
The Application Fees that will apply from 1 July 2016 are:
| Application for divorce | $865 |
| Application for nullity | $1,225 |
| Application for declaration as to validity | $1,225 |
| Initiating application, final orders (parenting or financial) | $330 |
| Initiating application, final orders (parenting and financial) | $545 |
| Response to initiating application | $330 |
| Initiating application or application in a case, interim orders (parenting and/or financial) | $115 |

$330 |

| Application for consent orders | $160 |
| Issue subpoena | $55 |
The increase also applies to Setting Down, Hearing and Appeal Fees.
Depending on your circumstance, you may be eligible for an exemption or reduction of your Family Court costs. You can find information about eligibility of having your fees reduced or waived here.
